Dontrelle Willis shut down the Williamsburg batters on just 3 hits as the
Portland Grays topped the Williamsburg Burgesses by a score of 2 to 0 at
Bruton Parish Common.

Willis(2-0) was on top of his game.  He allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks in 9
innings.  Willis whiffed an impressive total of 10 Williamsburg batters
lowering his ERA to 1.00.  Neither team managed to score after the 3rd
inning.  

Randy Johnson(1-1) ended up with the loss.  He pitched 8 innings giving up 5
hits and 2 walks. 'He came out with good stuff,' Portland's manager said
about Willis. 'He threw the ball good from the first pitch on.'
